little thursday market finds

Ho trovato queste due creature sperdute (una Steiff e un'altra cosetta molto anziana) in un banchetto di merce assortita al mercato di Locarno e, dato che la polenta per il pranzo l'avevo già comprata, mi sono detta che non potevo certo lasciarle lì, abbandonate a sé stesse, in mezzo a tovagliette, boccali di birra e strani oggetti di macramé (ma esistono ancora vi sento dire – altroché!)

I found these two kitties sitting on a little stall at the Locarno market waiting for me yesterday. I have a stroll around the piazza nearly every thursday just to have a look but mainly to buy freshly made polenta for our lunch. Sometimes, rummaging amongst the not so nice stuffed toys, I come across a little Steiff animal or something similarly ancient. As you can see, this time I got quite lucky!
